There
are tons of bows on the market today. The new one-cam bows are becoming
the wave of the new millennium, but a certain bow company has taken the
one cam design one step further and combined speed, accuracy, adjustability
and durability and called it the C/P/S XT system. The genius behind it
all? DARTON archery.
When I first saw the DARTON Yukon, I was amazed at its small size. Its about 35 inches axle to axle and it looked like a good bow to fit in-between trees and limbs and carry around without getting fatigued. I picked the bow up and wow! it was light. Really light! Only 3.7 pounds. I then saw the C/P/S XT system, and I was blown away. The wheel wasn't little and dinky, it was one tough looking wheel. What the wheel does is store energy on the draw, and force that power out on the release. The nock travel is some of the flattest I have seen. And the sound of the bow....... a softened thump. This bow will give you that boost of confidence that's needed when it comes down to the point of no return, that perfect ethical shot. They offer the Yukon in weights of 50, 60 and 70 and the draw lengths of 26-31'. It would be perfect for a small framed or the full grown shooter. As I mentioned before you can adjust the C/P/S modules to YOUR draw length. So if your shooting a draw length of say 29 but could use a 29.3 or something, this bow can be adjusted to achieve YOUR perfect draw length. Some shooters like to shoot a longer draw length for 3-d and a shorter length for hunting. If that is the case for you, this is the bow you need to get your hands on. Tuning is also a breeze with this bow. DARTON has used strings and buss
cables that were designed to give minimal stretch " relative to nock point
and nock travel." They also have tuning marks on the bow so in a glance
you can see if your string is in the optimal position for the BEST arrow
performance.
To sum it all up this bow has that something everyone is looking for,
all in one package, Speed, Adjustability, Durability, Performance, Accuracy,
and to top it all off it's low cost.
