As a newbie to the sport of bowhunting, I would like to introduce myself as the newest writer for the Young Bowhunters Club. My name is Chrissy and I am a 16 year old female. I was never interested in bowhunting until I met Brian Pullam. I always thought bowhunting was wrong and a predominately male sport. Due to these two factors I would have never thought I would be bowhunting myself someday. I want to thank Brian Pullam for opening my mind and getting me interested in bowhunting. He has dressed in camo, climbed in his treestand and shot a Styrofoam deer many times to show me what hunting is about. He has told me about all the preparation that it takes to hunt like getting everything scent free and viewing overhead maps to pick the best bowhunting location. I have come to realize that hunting isn't about killing, its a challenging and well deserved sport of pride. Being a beginner I will share with you readers my experiences as I learn to bow hunt, and hopefully can write about my first deer this coming fall. I also hope to be a role model and influence other young girls to try the sport of bowhunting. So Keep a watch out for my upcoming columns. Thank
