THE NEXT STEP IN HUNTING Johnny Kennedy I stop and have to take a closer look as I drive along. Many times, I have stopped to see deer and turkey feeding in fields and herds of elk along the way. It also has helped me to find animals that I did not know existed in areas that I hunt. Ever notice when traveling you always see something you wish you had a closer look at? Happens all the time and it is wonderful to stop and see these majestic animals in their everyday habitat before the hunting seasons start and the run to their hideaways to where is seems we never can find them again. It happens to me a lot. Now where did that buck go? I have seen him several times this year feeding and now cannot even find a trace. Well now, I have found something else that has really been an amazing pleasure to me. Ever go on a hunting trip with your friends, husband, or buddies and you happen to be the lucky one that gets his or her animal on the first day and now you're left to hang out while the rest hunt? Sometimes may mean as many as 3 to 5 days on different hunts. Well, here is something you might consider. I purchased a fieldscope or spotting scope and a digital camera and tripod set up. I now have found another world of hunting that is so awesome to see. You can take this to extremes beyond your imagination to see animals hundreds of yards away and with this set up can take pictures of animal and have them right in front of you it seems and the pictures are simply awesome. It allows you to spend more time in the woods and instead of sitting around camp waiting. It will give you some wonderful memories you never expected to have. If you have an inkling to expand your outdoor activities, this is a perfect way. I have listed my set up below to give you an idea of what to look at, hope your hunting season and time in the woods is another wonderful adventure.
