I just visited your site and thought wow... there are many other women out there that love to bow hunt like I do !!! I loved reading the stories and thought maybe I could share mine. I really loved archery, and with the guidance of my husband who is an avid bow hunter, I really got into the sport. I am a right-handed person but found I am left eye dominant so had to go out and get a left-handed bow. I have always gun hunted right handed and still do, but I trained left-handed with my bow.
My husband's cousin set me up with a friend of his who he thought "might have a great lefty bow" for me. It turned out that his friend had a great Hoyt bow that he wanted to "gift" to me because of his love for bow hunting. We spent over two hours getting it sighted in, having arrows custom made, etc. I took that bow home that evening, chomping at the bit to go out bow hunting the next day. I headed out at 1 pm that following day, and not two hours later this beautiful deer came my way. It wasn't even 24 hours after owning my new bow that I arrowed my first buck. After that I was hooked! I bow hunt from September to December, and I find that I now would rather hunt with the bow than the gun; I love the challenge !!
That is my story......thanks for letting me share it.
