Setting Up The ICE Blind
by Doug Crabtree

It has it's own carrying case and as you see it is compact and the carrying strap makes it easy to carry. To set the Ice blind up grab the closed end of the case and it slides right out.

It comes out of the bag in the right position, the poles are already in the blind, so when you pull out on the sides it makes a rectangle.

When you push the marked circle in the center it starts popping up around you.

It's almost up.

The center finishes popping up and a push on the side poles pops out the sides.

The blind is up, it's nice and tight. The breeze doesn't shake the walls. You're ready to hunt.

You can't see inside the blind as long as you are not right up in the window.

I use the waterfowl flap in the top to listen for birds and to call.
Here I am inside the blind at full draw -- with no face mask on! (For the purpose of this picture I had to put the bow right in the front of the window or you would not have been able to see anything at all.) They have several models but the blind I use is is the Ice Blind with Black on the Inside, the Black makes you disappear when you are only a few inches from the window. I recommend you wear a black shirt and black face camo.

If you are interested in contacting Double Bull Archery, call them and ask for the blind Doug Crabtree told you about on bowhunting.net. Their toll free number is 1-888-464-0409 and ask for either Brooks or Keith. Or you can email them at brooks@juno.com. The Double Bull web site is at www.DoubleBullArchery.com.
