Call Making Winners By Category

The NWTF's Grand National Call Making Contests provide a place for the nation's best turkey call makers to showcase their craftsmanship and to contribute to the conservation cause. Judges evaluate calls depending on the division in which a call has been entered. The three divisions are: the Grand National NWTF Hunting Turkey Call Contest; the Grand National Decorative Turkey Call Contest; the Grand National Decorative Duck and Goose Call Contest. Each division is divided into a number of categories based on the various types of calls hunters use. In the Hunting Call Contest alone, call makers have the opportunity to enter their calls in up to 12 categories.

All calls entered into the competition are sold by means of silent or live auction during convention at a 50/50 split. The 50/50 split entitles the artist or craftsman to 50 percent of the auction bid and the remaining 50 percent goes to support the NWTF and its conservation programs. Name recognition and competition placement are displayed with each entry at these auctions.
