NABH Championship
in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

JimboTX and I arrived at the NABH Championship shoot on Friday. The outside temperature gauge on the truck's dashboard read 106 degrees. It was sizzling in OKC that day.

JimboTX was scheduled to shoot in the Pro/Am event on Friday afternoon. I went along and took a few pictures.

The group consisted of Charlie, a pin shooter from Amarillo, TX. John Taylor, a youth amateur shooter for Hoyt. JimboTX, bowhunter and archer extroidinaire. Elliot Heath, the top amateur shooter for 15 and under, as well as this years IBO Triple Crown winner for his class. And Scot, one of the shoot's hard working staff that was a member of the Trosper Archery Club.

I haven't shot any 3D in 5 years so I was totally out of touch with what's going on these days. When I last shot the 3D animal targets did not have 12 rings on them yet. But they do now and that ring is not very big, and it's dangerously close to edge of the 10 ring and a score of 8.

In the Pro/Am the top 3 scores count for each target so the scores were almost always 10's with some 12's thrown in.

Elliot and John were very competitive and shot strong. And the rest of the group fell right in and gave them a run for it.
