AMO Archery Trade Show 2002

The AMO Archery Trade Show is the bowhunting and archery businesses most important show. It is closed to the public, only retailers, media and manufacturers can attend the show. Here is the report on the new archery and bowhunting companies and their products at this years show.

Say "hello" to Linda K. Burch. Linda owns WildTech, the company that manufactures her new invention FireTacks trail markers.

Linda also authors clever and entertaining columns in her role as columnist on Bowhunting.net. Adventures In The Outdoors, by Linda K. Burch.

(Jan 25-27) It looked to me like the 6th AMO Archery Trade Show had a record attendance.

The show was focused on retailers and archery delaers. Special areas were set up, including:

a Shooting Demonstration Area where dealers could shoot bows from the manufacturers (hosted by the IBO),
a New Products Area featuring scores of new products (hosted by the trade publication Archery Business),
an impressive Model Store with attractive archery & bowhunting product displays.
Seminars on successful archery retailing, maximizing service, and other helpful topics.
Booths from hundreds of archery & bowhunting product manufacturers.

The show brings dealers from all across the country. They like the show because they can see "it all" under one roof. They are able to network with other retailers and gather ideas and find out what works for other dealers.

Of course, the main event was the retailers and dealers working with the exhibitors of archery and bowhunting products to see what was new and to place their orders for 2002.
