This Is Archery & Bowhunting's Big One

(Jan 25) Today is the opening day of the 6th AMO Archery Trade Show. It is all about new products for our favorite subjects: bowhunting and archery. This is the archery industry's biggest show and is the only national trade show produced exclusively for our industry. 

The 2002 show utilizes over 275,000 sq. ft. in the Convention Center at the enormous Opreyland Hotel in Nashville, TN. Over 500 exhibitors are displaying archery and bowhunting products here. This trade show is not open to the public so you must be a member of the trade to attend: more than 8,000 dealers, retailers and merchants as well as industry media (we're in that category) have registered for the show. 

The weather is pretty nice today, sunshiny, not a cloud in the sky, and mild temperatures.

It looks like it will be a swell show. Last year I was able to upload several times right from the show floor and I'll try to do it again this year. 

At breakfast I ran into Arthur Taillon. Last year we gave away a Caribou bowhunt for 2002 in Quebec with Arthur's outfitting company James Bay Adventures. We discussed doing it again this year. Look for the details on this soon.
