AMO Archery Trade Show
This Is Bowhunting's Big One (Jan 26) Today is the opening day of the 5th AMO Archery Trade Show. It is all about new products for our favorite subjects: bowhunting and archery. This is the archery industry's biggest show and is the only national trade show produced exclusively for our industry. The 2001 show utilizes over
275,000 sq. ft. in the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Over 500 exhibitors are displaying archery and bowhunting products here.
t is not open to the public so you must be a member of the trade to attend:
more than 8,000 dealers, retailers and merchants as well as industry media
(we're in that category) have registered for the show.
I flew to Chicago on Tuesday and Fred Lutger of Freddie Bear Sports and I drove to the show yesterday afternoon. The manufacturers have already set up and a lot of folks were out and about. I ran into several of my band my bowhunting.net co-hort Rich Walton. I had a good visit with outdoor writer and PSE rep Dan Perez, we have a lot in common bowhunting wise, Dan hunts almost every day of the whitetail season too. He has taken several Illinois big boys. It looks like it will be a swell show. Last year I was able to upload several times right from the show floor and I'll do the same this year. After I upload this page I'll go on over. I took a few pictures and while I walked the isles I ran into Arthur Taillon. In 1996 we gave away a Caribou bowhunt in Quebec with Arthur's outfitting company James Bay Adventures. We discussed doing it again this year, the winner will get to hunt with us, and we will cover the hunt online. Look for the details on this soon. (Late Afternoon) Rich Walton and I had a meeting with Fred Lutger concerning his online store FreddieBearSports.com. Fred has the premier archery and bowhunting pro shop in the Mid West. He's been at the same location since 1978 and we helped him develop his web site, which debuted this last December. The brick and mortor Freddie Bear Sports carries nearly every bowhunting product made and Fred is using the same philosophy for his online store. Freddie Bear Sports offers bowhunters all over the world the best products at the best prices, fast shipping, secured credit card ordering, prompt customer service, and satisfaction is guaranteed. You can see the store at FreddieBearSports.com. More AMO Archery Trade
