| VERTICAL TUNING
With round wheel bows, you can sometimes eliminate small nock high or nock low tears through paper by moving your nocking point up or down the string. However, when shooting a bow outfitted with a speed cam you'll have more success using the following procedure: First, time the wheels to provide synchronous roll-over. Then move the nocking point so the arrow is positioned somewhere between level and 1/8 inch nock high on the string. Shoot through paper. If the arrow is nock high, decrease the spring tension of the launcher arm (or vertical support of a shoot through arrow rest). If the arrow is nock low, increase the spring tension of the launcher arm. If you can't eliminate the nock high or low tear, try an arrow of stiffer or weaker spine. I've found that if I keep the nocking point in the proper position and keep the wheels timed, I can tune the arrow and the arrow rest to each other. |
