Tips that give you that winninng edge and help you have Winning Ways, from top archer and bowhunter Randy Ulmer.

Timing Is Everything

In order for a cam bow to be properly tuned the wheels must rotate synchronously  throughout their cycle. If they don't rotate together the archer will experience a vertical tear when shooting through paper ( nock low or nock high). You can't fix these vertical tears by changing the nock set position or arrow rest tension. However, you can solve this problem by twisting (shortening) one or the other (synthetic) bus cables.

If the tear is nock high, twist (tighten) the lower working bus cable ( the cable that attaches to the lower wheel). If the tear is nock low, twist the upper working bus cable. This is a quick and easy way to time the wheels of nearly any compound bow.
