Early on today, things took an unexpected twist. Over 500 airline flights were canceled by the  Federal Aviation people and it had an effect on our small group of writers, manufacturers and hunters.

The bottom line is that some people were later than expected and some were simply not able to make it.

But, here is how the hunting went today.

Fred Lutger and I hunted in a
ground blind for the morning hunt. We saw two separate hens. Unusually,
we heard no gobbles at daylight or during the morning.

Justin Lowry
hunted a pop up ground blind. Nothing happened in his area.
Justin is the Regional Sales Manager for Grim Reaper Broadheads.

Mike Jordan hunted in a tower stand and saw 15 deer and some small game.
Mike is ATSCO Director Of Product Development.

Wade Nolan 15 wild hogs, 3 wild turkeys and a deer.

Fred Lutger hunted the same ground blind again. A lone hen walked through the area. Then 3 jakes hung out in the area for half an hour. Every time Fred called they gobbled back.

At roost time a hen and two jakes walked by briskly on the way to the roost.

Mike Strandlund hunted a treestand  and saw some small game. Mike is Editorial Director and Associate Publisher of Bowhunting World and Archery Business magazines.
