The first deer he ever harvested was with the bow and 90% of the deer he has taken have been bow kills. His best buck to date is a North Carolina 8-point with a 17 1/2 inch spread. He makes a living in furniture sales and firearms instruction. Gene teaches concealed carry courses for the state and is an NRA Instructor. He also raises and trains german shepherds. He was a new deer hunter and we exchanged email and I helped him find the deer beds and got him set up to hunt. He got his first deer. That is pretty amazing, we did it on the internet." The
