Day #1, Opening Morning Donald Duck hunted the blind at Strut Zone # 1. At daylight gobbles filled the air waves (from the direction of the river). An hour later the Duck heard gobbles near the Point, so he used his slate call, yelped, and shut up ... and waited. A loud gobble startled him, it was very close to him; but behind the blind where he couldn't see it. Two adult gobblers came into view and walked to the decoys. As Don drew the lead tom continued walking and passed through the blind's shooting window. A few more steps and the trailing bird would be gone too. Don hurriedly aimed and shot. The gobbler dropped, jumped up and ran 15 yards and went down for good.
