Arrow Rest From BODOODLE
The Bodoodle Zapper 300 is Bodoodle's version of the type of rest that holds your arrow in place so it can't fall off the rest. Bodoodle claims it will even hold the arrow in place if the bow is turned upside down. (I did that first thing, just to be sure that was true. It was.)

Personally, adjusting the arrow rest is a difficult part of the bow set up. What with moving it up, down, in and out, and then struggling with getting it level; for me at least, it's never been easy. I'm just not mechanically inclined.

I tightened the bolts (included) that attached the Zapper 300, inserted an arrow, and looked to see how it aligned with my bowstring. Surprisingly, they both lined up just fine. So I shot 6 arrows through it. My arrow flight was perfect, right from the get go.

No adjustments necessary ... I like that.

Next I put the Bodoodle "Smoke Quiet" teflon tape on the rest's fins. That made the rest quiet when as I drew my arrows. Excellent.

One of the things that can happen when you hunt in a blind is that your arrow can easily get bumped off the rest due to accidentally bumping the broadhead on the sides of the blind. So the Zapper 300 was a definite asset here, it kept my broadhead on the rest, no problem. But what about accuracy, you ask? My groups are the tightest I have ever shot.

Bowsight From Timberline Archery
Timberline Archery Products sent me a Power Glo X-Treme bowsight. It was easy to mount on my bow and also both quick and easy to sight in. The pin adjustments are a snap. And everything locks down tight once it's sighted in.

I was immediately impressed with the brightness of the sight's Fiber Optics. Then I checked the pins and found that each fiber optic fit perfectly into its grove in the pin. These pins were rock solid and wouldn't break.

Then, as you know I took the sight hunting for wild turkey. When I hunted in a blind with my former fiber optic bowsight, and it was overcast or light was low, there was not enough available light to make the pins glow. On the day I arrowed the Osceola gobbler it was very overcast and we set the blind up in heavy shadows.

But the Timberline pins stood out. I clearly saw the pin and was able to put it where it counted. This bowsight gets my vote. It's easy to adjust and you can see the pins in dim light situations.
