Day 5 (Mar 25) - Mike Bailey's Hunt
In The Swamp
Afternoon Hunt
Mike
Bailey went with David Mills to the same swamp David had hunted yesterday.
They had a long walk in mud and water until they reached a higher and dry
area. David set up the Double Bull Matrix 360 blind and they got inside.
David
called aggressively for two hours, alternating between the Woodhaven Aluminum
and Crystal Slates. Suddenly they saw a big longbeard 100 yards away, running
toward them. MIke was barely ready when the gobbler slowed down, now only
10 yards away.
Mike
aimed and fired (shotgun) and the longbeard fell.
This
is Mike Bailey's first Osceola gobbler and the last in his 4 year quest
for his Grand Slam. Congratulations Mike. (Here is a picture of you
