TRANQUILIZER™ STABILIZER by Dave Conrad A compound bow at full draw stores a lot of energy. As the arrow is release a substantial amount of energy is transferred to the arrow sending it on its way. However not all that energy is transferred to the arrow. The rest of it is absorbed by the bow and expended into results such as vibration, hand shock and noise. A way to alleviate such results is by the use of a stabilizer. Any experienced archer can tell you stabilizers are a very important tool to include in your archery arsenal.
Tranquilizer™ Stabilizer The new TRANQUILIZER Stabilizer from Golden Key-Futura combines these sophisticated new technologies to produce an advanced stabilizer. Golden Key has incorporated SIMS LimbSaver technology into the TRANQUILIZER to produce the most advanced stabilizer yet. This technology has been used in other sporting activities such as tennis, golf and baseball bats before being introduced to archery last year. The spec sheet states a weight at just under 6 ounces and reduction in noise up to 12 dB and vibration up to 70%. I attached the stabilizer to my 75 pound Hoyt bow using the AMO standard threads and was off to the target. The first thing I noticed is how nice the 6 ounce TRANQUILIZER feels compared to the much larger stabilizer that I had been using. The model I tested was camouflaged in Mossy Oak but you can choose from several different patterns including black, Advantage, Advantage Timber, Realtree Hardwoods and Xtra Grey. These choices allow you to blend in with any bow pattern you might have. Shooting arrows in groups of three, I would alternate groups with and without the TRANQUILIZER. I even alternated my larger liquid filled stabilizer into the group. For the results lets just say that I am now replacing my larger stabilizer with the new Golden Key-Futura TRANQUILIZER. This thing is incredible! My major concern for my bow is hunting, not 3-D competition. I need a stabilizer that is compact, lightweight and helps eliminate noise and oscillation when releasing an arrow. I have now found a stabilizer that fits all of my concerns. I recommend it highly for anyone hunting skittish game such as whitetail, known to duck the fastest of arrows. Design
