After watching Severe Whitetail Disorders you may find yourself wishing you could hunt with the dynamic duo not for the hope of a big buck but because you just know you would have the time of your life. Get the video!

In my home there are a few things that are guaranteed a short life span, Double Stuff Oreo cookies, spiders and an unopened hunting video. If I don't get to it first, one of my many children will!

The new video from Archer's Choice entitled 'Severe Whitetail Disorders' (SWD) and hosted by Ralph and Vicki Cianciarulo, was no exception. The exhaust from the mailman's truck had barely evaporated by the time my son had the video open and in the VCR!

One of the first impressions I got from the video was how likeable Ralph and Vicki were. And after meeting them at the Ohio Deer and Turkey Expo, I would have to say that my impressions were right on the mark. Ralph's love of this sport is absolutely infectious. No doubt that there are others, like me, out there that welcome the sight of hunting personalities truly enjoying themselves, not just taking care of business.

SWD starts out with some great footage of impressive whitetails and then transitions into a great first hunt. In this scene Ralph employs a slick rattling trick that proves to be irresistible to the buck, you've got to watch it to learn this one!

Throughout the SWD video Ralph, Vicki and friends span much of the country in search of the buck of a lifetime. There are 17 hunts that cover states like Texas, Ohio, Montana, Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin. Some of the highlights for me included the composure Vicki showed while a fine Illinois buck looked right through her, Ralph's Ink-blot session (you'll have to find out for yourself!), and Frank Williams monster buck from Ohio. LOOK OUT FRANK! My jaw almost hit the floor when I saw the giant buck's mouth still moving while Frank was sitting behind it admiring the impressive rack.

Another scene that impressed me was Ralph's Texas hunt from a Macho ground blind. Ralph takes a nice buck and is genuinely excited about the moment. The buck however is not what caught my attention; it was Ralph's statement. To paraphrase he basically told all the kids watching that no drug or alcohol high could ever match the rush of taking a Whitetail - I agree 100%! Ralph, I wish that every young person would have the opportunity to experience the awesome feeling we get at such a moment. There would be far less drug problems for sure.

From start to finish I enjoyed the humor, big buck footage and, most of all, the Cianciarulo's passion for the outdoors. After watching Severe Whitetail Disorders you may find yourself wishing you could hunt with the dynamic duo not for the hope of a big buck but because you just know you would have the time of your life. I do have one suggestion though, that in my opinion will improve the overall video experience. Take the advertising out of the hunting scenes. The information page before each hunt is a great way to communicate the details of the upcoming scene. Flashing the same information during the hunt is a little distracting.
