| Every body talks about hot arrows. Hot flying, red hot speeds and arrow
that zip through the air at 300 feet per second. All
fine and dandy. But can you see where they hit? Can you see where they
landed? In grass, in dirt or in the target or game animals? Well now you
can have hot looking arrows to go along with the speed. Muzzy the broadhead
giant now has hot, hot colors to wrap around your arrows.
No more heavy cresting paint on the back end of your shafts. No more
letting paint drip off the shaft. No more cresting machines or fine line
brushes. No more multiple cans of different paint. No more paints, mess
or fuss. As they say in the newspaper business... its a wrap.
These wraps are a self-adhesive vinyl that rolls on your shaft before
you fletch your arrows as you normally would . Having a package at
Big Al's Archery we decided to try them on carbon and aluminum arrows.
Easy as one, two, three. With a dozen to a package you can do all dozen
shafts in under ten minutes.
First peel off the adhesive wrap. Lay it down sticky side up. Now line
up the bottom of the nock with edge of the wrap. Roll the arrow slowly
pressing the wrap to the shaft. If you have a crease or a bubble pull back
the wrap slowly and flatten out. Doing it slowly you should have no bubbles
or wrinkles. Working carefully it takes one minute per arrow or less.
When it come to the end it makes a complete circle around the arrow, just
press down the edge and you have a beautiful cresting job.
Do they stick? You bet!!!!!!
Now just put on the color vanes or feathers like you would do any other.
I prefer the EZ-Flecth from Arizona Rim Country. Another device that makes
fletching arrows fast and simple.
We found that after the fletching is dry it tends to bond "in" to the
vinyl. The feathers or vanes do not pull off or fall off easily. They hold
your fletching tight and secure. And at 20,30,or 40 yards your arrows show
up great. Muzzy has them in 7 colors that will dazzle your eyes.
Intense Blue, Intense Red, Hot Pink, Hot Neon Green, Dark Green, Black
and Yellow.
To remover the vanes, carefully use a knife and gently start the front
edge of your fletching and gently lift and move the edge of the fletching
with the knife while lifting the vane. Do not dig the knife into the vinyl.
Just GENTLY and SLOWLY push the knife blade up into the bottom of the
fletching and lift the fletching at the same time. Then, you can refletch
over them. And as far as weight, the wraps added only one grain to the
nock end of the arrow. No different flight no different impact point. Just
arrows that look sharp with the colors and the MUZZY log on each wrap.
For me they are going to be on all my arrows.

The price is a little high they retail for about sixteen dollars a dozen.
But when compared to all you have to buy to crest any arrow: paint,
brushes, machines, finishes or make a mess or redo them when the pain blobs
up or runs down or worry about weight on the nock end. When considering
all this they are a bargain.
