A new, two position "Gator grip", made from a pliable rubber called
Artic-2, holds shafts from 19/64 to 25/64 in the first position.
Smaller shafts, such as carbons, can be pressed further into the "Gator
grip" until locked into the second position.
To further ensure a tight fit the broadhead shield cover, also constructed
of Artic-2, has molded depressions for your arrow tips to fit into. Combine
this with two arrow brackets, instead of most quivers one, and there's
no worry about arrows moving about or being knocked out of the quiver.
The second bracket is ingeniously placed about three inches from the shield
housing ensures a tight grip while locking up to four arrows in place.
Two advantages that come to mind from the Combo Quivers shield housing.
First is that there is no foam to replace after several insertions from
a sharp broadhead. Another advantage of no foam is that your conventional
broadheads will stay sharp when being placed in and out of the quiver.
Also, if you use mechanicals you no longer have to worry about them opening
when pushed into the foam as well as no more broken rubber bands if your
mechanical uses them.
The Mossy Oak Forest Floor Camo blended in nicely with my Hoyt decked
out in the same camo. If Mossy Oak is not your preference there are
other camo patterns available such as Realtree.
I prefer to take my quiver off upon reaching my treestand. In
the early morning darkness the Kwikee Kwiver comes off easily and more
important quietly. I also have the Bracket Kaddy, a Kwikee Kwiver
accessory, which screws into the tree allowing the quiver to be within
easy reach for a quick follow-up shot if necessary.
I also like the fact that this quiver only holds four arrows.
This compact design makes it easy to tote while stalking through high grass
and weeds. Four arrows are plenty since I never have had more than
three broadheads with a field /judo point for small critters or stump shooting.
A little more information on the Artic-2 material used in the shield
and brackets. First and foremost it is soft rubber, which is a natural
vibration dampener. Because of this you do not have to worry about undo
noise when replacing arrows into the quiver if you hit them against the
interior shield housing. Second the name Artic-2 ensures the quiver
will stay pliable at below freezing temperatures. There is nothing
more nerve racking than trying to get an arrow into a quiver with cold
fingers when the hunt is through.
The Kwikee Kwiver Combo will mount easily to your bow using standard
AMO positioned screws. To ensure no unwanted vibration transfers
to the quiver upon release rubber spacers are supplied and should
be used between the quiver and bow riser when mounting.
Design 4.5 out of 5
The Artic-2 material combined with the Gator Grip and second bracket
allows for a snug fit no matter the size or length of arrow shaft used.
The material stays pliable even below freezing making it easy for arrow
retrieval and put away. The Kwikee Kwiver lives up to its name, as
it is very easy to remove utilizing a metal spring lock. Simply press
the spring lock and slide the quiver up out of the mounting channel.
Setup 4.5 out of 5
You should have no problems mounting the Kwikee Kwiver on any bow riser
using standard AMO specs. For short bows a Hi-Riser extension plate
is available for better arrow clearance.
Quality 5 out of 5
Finally the Combo Quiver, just like all Kwikee Kwiver products, carry
a limited Lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
If there is a problem just return it for full repair or replacement.
Truly a sign of a quality company that stands behind its products made
in the USA.
