Have you ever seen something move quickly between the trees at dusk but couldn't make out what it was? Have you ever scanned an area, intensely, then when you were absolutely sure nothing living was in your field of vision, took a step only to have some animal literally explode out of sight? The reason is nature's own camouflage. The colors, the blend, the designs of nature are so subtle that the wearer can escape detection from only a few feet away. This is what TIMBERGHOST camouflage is based on. Kevin Carlile, designer of TIMBERGHOST took his cues from nature, especially the subtle shades of color, light and dark. TIMBERGHOST Camouflage has that same effect. It does not break up like other camouflage patterns, nor does it blotch up into a solid shape when viewed from a distance. It is a tree!!!!!!! Similar to the Founder of the Camo revolution Jim Crumleys' TreBark the all time leader and futurist of the camo revolution. TIMBERGHOST actually becomes the tree. With your back against a tree or sitting between two trees or even in a blind or tree stand one does not have to worry about what is in the back ground! You are the image, you are the tree. TIMBERGHOST is quality made throughout. It is made from a soft twill fabric that undergoes a series of manufacturing processes to make it soft and super quiet. An added feature is that it is water resistant. I got caught walking in the rain with it on and thought I was going to get soaked but inside the coat was completely dry. Unlike other camos, TIMBERGHOST is adaptable to many terrains.
Where there are trees, heavy brush and or logs TIMBERGHOST
fits in well. If your favorite spot has been cut down and all that's left
are stumps, TIMBERGHOST will still help you stay concealed
You now become the taller stump. It will work in blow downs, along
field edges and ideally in your treestand.
Another great feature with TIMBERGHOST is they have impregnated the cuffs and sleeves of the clothing with Tick Guard to prevent those nasty bugs from ruining your day. This comes standard in all TIMBERGHOST hunting clothes. Another nice feature is the handy binocular pocket on the upper chest. A small compartment to put in a pair of your favorite mini binoculars has been installed. The zipper for this pocket runs vertically and does not interfere with the string or the shot. With one hand you can reach for the binocs, scan and put back in your pocke,t zip up and it is out of sight and out mind. This shows that attention to detail means a lot. TIMBERGHOST makes hats, pants, bibs, coats, gloves, masks, t-shirts
bow slings even a turkey vest. Do not forget their casual wear demin shirts,
,sweat shirts, snappy jacket and matching cap.
Field shooting for ducks or geese might be a problem however I do not
believe TIMBERGHOST was ever intended to do that. The big thing is
to break up your image. Maybe it is somewhat justified but I even read
somewhere that deer get spooked when walking in and around trees. But most
deer I have ever seen were making scrapes or rubs under or on trees. I
have never seen a deer hide in the middle of a field or in a used car parking
lot. Every TIMBERGHOST product is well thought out and quality built in
to it. My only wish is that they add items to their line such as
tape, cloth and camo blinds for different situations.
