A Tribute To Bill Jordan.

A true, genuine and down to earth person.
His fame and fortune have not changed him.

Through The Eyes Of A Young Hunter ...

There is one individual that I want to give tribute to this year. Most of the people in the hunting industry are really nice people but there is one who stands out above the rest. That is Mr. Bill Jordan owner and designer of Realtree Camo. Bill, I call him Bill, because that is the kind of person that he is. I have known him for 3 years.

When I visited the Realtree headquarters in Columbus,GA. I had only met Bill one other time. We were invited to take a tour of the Realtree offices by Keith Jennings (Hardgoods manager for Realtree). Keith is a friend of my sister Tiffany and I.

While we were there we were intorduced to Micheal Waddell and Ashley Black (Realtree staff manager). As we toured the offices we passed by Bill Jordan's office, where he was in a meeting. He waved to us through the glass door and we returned to Keith's office.
Bill came in a little later and said that he was glad that he that he caught us before we left.

I've observed Mr. Bill Jordan at trade shows over the last 3 years, and no matter how busy or chaotic things are, he takes time to talk to and sign autographs for anyone on anything including competitors camo.

He is a true genuine and down to earth person. His fame and fortune have not changed him. If you are ever at a show where Bill is, please take the time to meet him. He will make time for you.

Randy, Keith, Tifany and Bill

At the ATA show Saturday night, Micheal Waddell invited my sister and I to watch him play guitar. We did not realize that Realtree
had put together a band called Realtree Road Trips with Micheal Waddell. Some of the band members include Micheal Waddell
on guitar, Jay Gregory from the Wild Outdoors and the cheif editor from Realtree Outdoors on the bass guitar . There were also some other guys who got together with them to perform in the band.

Micheal said that they had only performed together one other time.
The band played for about 3 hours . Not only are Micheal Waddell and Jay Gregory great hunters, they can also jam with the best of
any band out there. I hope that they keep doing this. It was great.

Look for me back on Sportsmen's Outdoor Strategies starting in July.  I will be running the Muzzy Products booth at the Illinois Deer and Turkey Classic in Bloomington,IL. on Feb. 21-23. Stop by if you are in the area. It is at the Interstate Center.
