| One good shot wins the big bucks, whether in the field or at the I.B.O.
World Championships, coming up August 14-17, in Snowshoe, West Virginia.
In addition to the World competition, BowTech, along with Carbon Express
and Bowtree, Inc., is sponsoring a special event Shoot Out with a Grand
Prize of $100,000. Along with the cash, competitors will receive sponsor
merchandise totaling up to $50,000, with cash bonuses for winners using
specific brands.
This year's competition introduces the Sweet Sixteen format. Sixteen
names will be drawn on Saturday, August 16 for a head-to-head shootout
on Sunday, August 17. Winners advance in each round of this single elimination
event.
The one shooter left standing has the opportunity to shoot a single
arrow for $100,000!
Each of the 16 shooters who are drawn wins prizes and cash based on
their final standings. In addition, one name from the Long Distance Shoot
participants will be drawn to shoot for the $100,000.
Qualifiers for the $100,000 Shoot Out must shoot the Long Distance Shoots
at any of the I.B.O. Triple Crown events. Competitors may also qualify
by shooting at the World's on August 14-16, just prior to this main event.
With a unique format, some world-class competitors, and the big bucks on
the line, this will be a must-see experience.
Half of the money raised from this event will go to the Bowhunter Defense
Fund, a national non-profit agency that keeps the future of bow hunting
safe and enjoyable for everyone. The other half will be used as part of
the cash prize package.
