New
from the Forge Bow Company - the "XTREME" Series of Carbon/Kevlon arrow
shafts. Kevlon, the newest innovation in arrow shaft technology offers
a 16% increase in spline strength per inch over comparable premium arrow
shafts. The lightweight properties of the Carbon/Kevlon arrow shaft enables
the archer to achieve maximum arrow speed potential on bows with draw weights
as little as 45#. Greater arrow velocity and wider variety of arrow tip
selections is also enjoyed by all archers using the Xtreme series arrowshaft.
Since their introduction this spring, the only complaint on the arrow
shaft is they are "Too good" according to Steve Pagel the President
of Forge Bow Co.. "Dealers are reporting their customers are experiencing
numerous "Robin hoods" while using the arrows and shooting tighter groups
by all who are using the Xtreme arrows." Pagel actually recommends dealers
install a competitors uni-bushing and smaller G nocks to reduce arrow shaft
damage while shooting.
Forge will offer the Xtreme shafts in 3 spline weights and in 2 grades
that will cover most archers needs. The spline weights offered are the
45/60, 55/70 and 65/80. Each of these arrow shafts are available
in a Pro grade (.0029 TIR over 31" and +/- 3grains per dozen shafts) and
the Pro 3D grade (.001 TIR over 31" and +/- 2 grains per dozen shafts).
While many new arrow companies have been able to gain a portion of the
marketplace through lower price points Forge Bow Co. is relying on quality,
service, dealer loyalty, consistency and marketable innovation. When
asked why he felt Forge could compete successfully in a market that has
such strong brand recognition, Pagel responded "I've been with Forge since
1997 manufacturing compound bows and archery related products that are
sold exclusively through Archery Pro Shops. The growing knowledge of our
support of Pro shops with quality products, service and realistic prices
have rewarded Forge Bow Company with a loyal dealer base that continues
to grow demand for our products in all market segments. Incidentally, Forge
is always looking for new Pro shop that would like to increase their bow
lines profitability and work factory direct."
