It was the most horrific act of terrorism our country has ever witnessed
-- these photos (left) showing the World Trade Center were captured from
the office window of our columnist, Susan Lagazo. I received the
photo of the plane yesterday from another friend.
On this International Day of Peace a group of well coached cowards
in a barbaric act unprecedented in our country’s history hijacked and then
crashed into the twin World Trade Center Towers, the Pentagon and a field
south of Pittsburg, four commercial Airliners. The Pittsburg crash was
not planned and its suspected target is speculated to be the Capital Building.
The loss of life will be in the thousands. The financial impact will be
in the billions ... and the scars on our hearts will be immeasurable.
Now is the time for us to come together with a resolve seldom seen in
the US. We are a good people who value life and only desire a world at
peace. We are, for the most part naive and innocent when it comes to the
terrorist mindset. It is hard for us to image a hatred for us so strong
that the result would be what happened yesterday. This single act will
change the way we look at the world and ourselves for decades.
From all of us at Bowhunting Net, our prayers go out for the many victims
and their families. Our total support is behind President Bush who now
must launch a full investigation to discover the perpetrators and those
who harbor and support them. These individual must be hunted down and brought
to a swift conclusion. The American people and our allies around the world
will accept nothing less.
Sept 11, 2001 was our wake up call..
For now, the immediate job at hand is to seek out all possible victims
that are still alive. We need to get back to our jobs, morn, repair and
rebuild the damage. We need to comfort those who are affected directly
by this event and we need to ensure that something like this will never
happen again.
Americans are strong and when tested have overcome all obstacles to
keep our way of life. And we will do it now.
