Terry Receveur is a traditional bow hunter who has been plying his trade for over 40 years. He has had the opportunity to bowhunt, bowfish, and fish extensively around the globe enjoying outings from Alaska to Africa and Canada to Costa Rica. His favorite bow is a TimberHawk 2 piece takedown longbow. He has given dozens of seminars on everything from “Hunting Alaska on a Budget” to “Do-It-Yourself Alligator Hunting”. He is also a prolific writer having contributed to many local and national publications. He tries to keep in touch with the pulse of bowhunting by being and/or having been actively involved in the Professional Bowhunters Society (Councilman, Regular Member, Publicity Chairman), Compton Traditional Bowhunters, North American Hunting Club (Life Member), NY Bowhunter Association, Indiana Bowhunter Association (Membership Chairman, Banquet Chairman, North American Wheelin’ Sportsman Representative, FWCC Co-Chair and IBA Representative, North American Bowhunting Coalition Representative), Indiana Sportsman’s Roundtable, Indiana Wildlife Federation, Fair Chase Hunting Alliance, United States Sportsman’s Alliance, National Wild Turkey Federation, Pope & Young Club, and as a member of the Pro Staff for Backwaters Outdoors.
Terry has been married to his wonderful wife Tina for 29 years and is the proud father of 4 children and grandfather to two. He received a Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science from Purdue University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Memphis. He currently resides in Kinderhook, NY and works as a Global Director of Production and Capacity Planning for a biomedical research firm.
