Treestand Safety Column
Richard “Dick” Holdcraft. is a retired federal government safety professional with 41 years of service, thirty in safety, and has taught as an adjunct instructor in undergraduate and graduate level safety degree programs for 24 years. He has a passion for deer hunt and his background includes fifteen years of teaching Advanced Treestand Safety to hunter education instructors for Virginia Game and Inland Fisheries.
Dick has a passion for deer hunting and the goal of his column is to cover the many aspects of treestand and ladder stand safety especially concerned with educating our youth on the proper ways to hunt safely. He will provide useful tips, suggestions, advice and recommendations for hunters using stands.
