Michelle grew up in Alaska blessed with a love of fishing, however didn’t start hunting until 28 after marring the love of her life who introduced her and mentored her in hunting. He is in the Army.
Michelle fell in love with archery when she shot her first arrow and later went on to take her first animal with a bow, a Hawaiian sow.
Later they moved to Alabama where she took up bowfishing which is her new favorite sport. In the summer of 2011 Michelle joined a women’s hunting forum and saw an announcement for a ladies hunt at an outfitter and booked the hunt. Ladies in Camo helped inspire Michelle to become more involved in helping other women get into the sport of hunting so they too could enjoy the amazing time and pass on their passion to others. She has since expanded that effort through her articles, product reviews, hunt stories and planning an archery themed event.
She feels as many do that it is vital to keep our hunting heritage alive and thriving for this generation and those that follow.
Michelle is also on the Pro Staff for: Backwater Outdoors and Martin Archery and a member of: Ducks Unlimited , International Bowhunting Organization, POMA Professional Outdoor Media Association and is sponsored by Dog Soldier TV. Her personal blog is: Hunt. Fish. Repeat.
