Gord Nuttall

Led by his father, Gord wet many lines trolling for lake trout along the rugged shorelines of Lake Superior and developed a passion and love for the rugged outdoors early in his life. Now an award winning freelance outdoor writer, Gord’s been published in several Canadian magazines such as Outdoor Canada and Western Sportsman.

During the spring and summer months, Gord spends countless hours exploring the diverse Alberta landscape with his family. They enjoy camping, canoeing, fishing and hiking. Gord teaches his kids everything about the outdoors and all that it has to offer ensuring they mature as nature lovers. Spending nights sleeping under the stars in the backcountry spin fishing remote lakes or fly-fishing unpressured streams are his favorite getaways.

In the fall, Gord bowhunts as much as possible for big game. This dedication has given him the opportunity to harvest many Pope and Young animals and various species roaming the Canadian wild. Gord enjoys the challenge and hard work required for successful bow hunting for different species complimented by the aspect of fair-chase. He plans on hunting multiple North American species with his bow in hand. Away from the field, Gord volunteers as an executive member of the Alberta Bowhunters’ Association and works full-time for Valueclick as a digital advertising operations manager.
