Rebecca Francis is a mother to three children and five step-children. She has earned two bachelor degrees in the past four years and is currently working as a dental hygienist with her husband in their dental practice. Rebecca is passionate about hunting and recently won the Extreme Huntress contest for 2010 due to the extreme measures she goes to in order to get her prey. She has taken two Alaskan brown bears with her bow, an African lion, many plains game, dall sheep, bighorn sheep, moose, black bear, antelope, New Zealand red stag, and many trophy mule deer and elk. Since becoming extreme huntress, she has begun freelance writing for several outdoor magazines, and has recently become the new co-host for the TV show, ‘Eye of the Hunter’ airing on Versus channel every Thursday at 2:00 pm EST. Rebecca is an active member of many wildlife and hunting conservation organizations and firmly believes in contributing and volunteering in order to preserve our right to hunt.
Rebecca is not only passionate about hunting, but loves many other outdoor activities. If she is not hunting, you can find her running, mountain and road biking, hiking, climbing, and mountaineering. She also loves scuba diving, cooking, traveling, jeeping, horse riding and any other sort of activity that brings on a surge of adrenaline. Rebecca and her husband are both pilots and frequently fly their plane on vacations. She has traveled to many countries to volunteer her dental hygiene skills to undeserved populations. Rebecca treasures her time with her family, and takes all of her children along when she goes hunting. She believes in encouraging children to get outside and enjoy nature and all it has to offer. Rebecca also hopes to help more women get out there and pursue their interest in hunting. Rebecca swears the the product that has made the most difference in her bowhunting is the Equalizer Release from Goat Tuff Products that has added arrow speed and performance by increasing her draw length.
