Industry leader BowTech® has long been recognized for developing the ultimate in innovative compound bows and archery equipment.  As part of its comprehensive new national advertising and marketing campaign, BowTech has been vigorously promoting archery and bowhunting through a number of exciting new avenues.

That’s why, thanks to the company’s latest generous sponsorship, BowTech has the chance to gain a new place in history by helping today’s youth take aim at becoming tomorrow’s potential professional bull riders, with its new title sponsorship of one of the hottest attractions at the rodeo/fair circuit – the World Championship of Mutton Bustin’.

For the last six years, Mutton Bustin’ has been kicking its way into fans’ hearts with its spirited competitions, pitting kid against sheep, in a pint-sized version of rodeo riding.  Children under the age of six who weigh in at under 60 pounds attempt to ride galloping sheep in the ring and stay on for six seconds.  These are no fluffy little lambs, either – the riders have their work cut out for them!

The events are held at some of the biggest fairs and rodeos in the country, including the Araphoe County Fair, the Northern Idaho Fair and Rodeo, the Colorado State Fair and the Western Washington Fair.  BowTech’s sponsorship will be evidenced by prominent signage at all chutes and arena fences, as well as on official event apparel.

“We are thrilled to be a part of growing such a dynamic and popular sport,” says Margaret Knupp, marketing manager of BowTech. “These events are generating such excitement at these fairs and rodeos, we’re all proud to be a part of the team partnering with Tommy G. Productions and in doing so, we look forward to introducing archery and bowhunting not only to the youngster participating but also to mom and dad, as well.”

Tommy Giodone is the host of the events, and has been a leading force in the Mutton Bustin’ movement over the years.  “It is fantastic to see a company like BowTech team up and get involved with the youth of America through the World Championships of Mutton Bustin,” says Giodone.  “With BowTech’s stamp of approval, this tour will give thousands of kids the opportunity to compete in one of the fastest growing sports for children.”
