World Record Antlered Doe?

Loren Miller, Official B&C and P&Y scorer from Lansing Iowa officially scored Eric Weymiller’s antlered doe at an amazing 152 4/8" net NT. This means Weymiller’s deer might be the new “unofficial” world record non typical doe!

DISASTER RECOVERY PERSONAL PROTECTION MEASURE BECOMES LAW

President Bush recently signed new legislation called the "Disaster Recovery Personal Protection Act," to prohibit the confiscation of legal firearms from law-abiding citizens during states of emergency. Passage of this legislation became a top priority for many Americans because of the confiscations of lawfully-owned firearms by local officials in New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

RETAIL VALUE OF A HUNTER

According to The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), during his or her lifetime, an average American hunter spends $17,726.59 on hunting equipment. When licenses and lodging, food and fuel, magazines and meat processing, plus other expenses are included, the average lifetime total spent on hunting jumps to $96,017.92. These figures were calculated as part of 2006 NSSF-commissioned research. The study looked at hunters' total expenditures from age 16 to 75. During that period, an average hunter in the U.S. annually spends: $70 on rifles, $53 on shotguns, $9 on muzzleloaders, $21 on handguns, $49 on ammunition, $12 on decoys, and $49 on dogs and supplies.
