If caught in a spring rainstorm, make sure you have properly prepared your feet to get wet. Purchase boots with a guaranteed waterproof lining or try waterproofing sprays to seal non-waterproof materials.

If your boots do become immersed in water, make sure to thoroughly dry them out before wearing again. If not completely dried out, wet boots could cause blisters, irritations and possibly compromise the future abilities of the waterproofing materials.
