Wade Nolan's Treestand Summit By Robert Hoague

When I arrived this afternoon the hunters were out in stands so I visited with Billy Don and got my laptop and computer gear set up to cover the hunt.
Wade Nolan had arrived mid day with Jim Seeley, the Director of Programming and Production for The Spotsman Channel and Jeff DeRegnaucourt with the Treestand Manufacturers Association. They unpaced their gear and got ready to go hog hunting.
Billy Don Van Cleave showed them some of the ranch on the way to their stands.

Wade hunted a wooded area called "X" shortly after 5:00 some jake gobblers walked into the area and Wade took their picture.
Minutes later a flock of 43 wild turkeys came up. One of the jakes puffed his feathers up and stood still for several minutes.
Twenty minutes before dusk Billy Don and I left camp to pick up the bowhunters. Jim Seeley was the only one with a wild hog and we took a few pictures and returned to camp. Here is the story of Jim Sealey's hog hunt.
Jeff DeRegnaucourt saw 3 does and a buck that had just lost its antlers. Jeff checked the buck out with his binoculars and saw discoloration on the pedicles where the antlers had been.
We ate a hardy dinner and visited until almost midnight. Right now everyone is sleeping and I am updating the web site. It's gonna be real sleepy at 5:30 this morning.
