The hunters were in their stands before daylight. Several hogs were seen but no one had a shot opportunity.

Jeff DeRegnaucourt the Treasurer and a Board Member of the Treestand Manufacturers Association.
Jeff DeRegnaucourt lives in Rockford, Michigan. He has hunted for 43 years. He is a certified Level 2 Archery Instructor and an NBEF Certified Treestand Safety Master Trainer. This is Jeff's first time to hunt in Texas.
Jeff told me, "The meeting here was the beginning of a solid relationship to educate that segment of the population that has the most treestand accidents, the 40 and older crowd. Younger hunters are getting the message from hunter safety education and bowhunter education programs and they already wear a full body harness when treestand hunting. This includes being attached from the time you leave the ground until the time you return to the ground, not just while you are in the treestand. The Sportsman Channel is going to help us get this message out in a positive way."
