Outdoor Video Workshop - Day 3
By Robert Hoague
Apr 27, 2009 - 3:57:52 PM

Sunday we ate breakfast at 7:00am and got down to the matter at hand, the outdoor video workshop. Wade Nolan began with how to conduct yourself on camera.

Next was Self Filming techniques and when to and when not to use this technique.
Audio is important to video and we saw and heard the ways to do it right, in the field and out.
Sometimes Narrators can be helpful.

Then we saw the 3 videos that our groups had made. It was very interesting to see the techniques we had just learned in use. And I took note that, even though the subject matter of each video was basically the same, each video group had produced a video that was unique and different.
  • Next up was the importan subject of Video Editing. Editing master Reed Nolan did show and tell on editing types, techniques, creativity, effects, cuts and much more -- all were discussed and shown by examples.
  • The Web Secret - I talked about web video and how to do it right.
  • The Hard Facts about T.V.

  • What you are up against.

  • Getting "The Deal"
  • Marketing VS Advertising

Questions and Answers was last and everyone with a question got an answer.

We ate a tasty lunch and our group dispersed and went home.
