The thought of chasing trophy whitetails with archery
equipment in multiple states during the same season has always been a
smoldering ember of excitement and desire for me. Now, that ember has
suddenly turned into a raging inferno as the days of summer grow shorter and
the opening of bow season draws near.
This fall I have the good fortune of hunting with an
up-and-coming outfitter who consistently produces monster deer for his
clients.I will also be bowhunting
Nebraska, The Cornhusker State, on my own.Logging over four thousand highway miles, I will have spent countless
hours scouting, hanging stands, and documenting my experiences in preparation
for the upcoming season.
My travels will take me to a huge parcel of outfitted land
in north Missouri and a deer-rich section of private ground in southeastern
Nebraska. As big buck areas go, it
doesn’t get much better. And, the best part of it all is that I’ll be
taking you along for the ride through Bowhunting.Net’s Online Hunts.
My objective is to hunt in both areas as many times as I
can throughout the season to provide the best coverage possible.
Bowhunting.Net will post periodic recaps of my progress with text and
pictures. So please feel free to tag along! Your invitation, as
they say, is in the mail -- E-mail that is.
God willing, it should be an awesome fall.
