Mothwing Camo Technologies,
a camouflage-pattern developer based in Knoxville, Tenn., today
announced that four new patterns of apparel, Fall Mimicry 1.0, Canyon
Mimicry 1.0, Winter Mimicry 1.0 and Blaze Mimicry 1.0, will be
available for purchase by the end of summer 2006.
Fall Pattern
The Fall pattern will be available at Bass Pro Shops nationwide and
through Cabela’s catalog. Canyon apparel will be available for
purchase at all Sportsman’s Warehouse locations. Cabela’s also will
carry apparel with the Winter and Blaze patterns in their catalogs by
the end of summer 2006.
Winter Pattern
We are excited to offer nature’s best camouflage, which has been proven
and tested in the field with hunters and outdoor enthusiasts across the
country,” said Greg Love, CEO of Mothwing Camo. “All our patterns
have been heavily sought after and will become even more in demand as
we gear up for the fall hunting season.”
Blaze Pattern
Mothwing camo patterns are developed directly from the biological wing
designs of moth species themselves, using the latest computer
technology and printing techniques for the most effective camouflage
ever created. This unique brand of camouflage called Mimicry® provides
a high level of concealment, allowing the hunter to disappear into
their environment. Because moths have proven their ability to
escape predators for centuries through their natural camouflage, the
inspiration of their wing designs make a fitting statement for the
patterns Mothwing Camo has developed.
The Fall pattern is inspired by the Lystrosis moth’s ability to
remarkably mimic tree bark and autumn leaves, while the Canyon pattern
is made up of red tones of the western plains, which hide the
Phyllodesma moth, making this camo pattern invisible to predators in
canyon terrain.
The Winter pattern is cryptic colorations of the Lymantria moth blended
seamlessly into the snow-covered landscape of bare branches and leaf
piles. The Blaze pattern is a bright orange safety pattern
combined with the Othreis moth’s extraordinary ability to integrate
into wooded areas.
