They look great. They shoot great. Hey, the Odyssey and the Pioneer are much more than just kid's play. These two entry- level bows from Fred Bear® Archery are ready to perform-- right from the box and into the field (no assembly required.)
At just $289 and $229 (suggested retail) respectively, the Odyssey and the Pioneer are priced for smaller budgets, but built for those with bigger aspirations. The two youth bow kits include Cobra™ Bantam Fiber Optic Sight, two piece camo quiver, three Satellite™ carbon arrows (Odyssey), three Safetyglass™ arrows (Pioneer) and a bonus Whisker Biscuit arrow rest (a $40 value.)
Camouflaged in Realtree® Hardwoods HD™ Green, just like its bigger Fred Bear® brothers, the Odyssey is proof positive that superior shooting equipment is available for short-draw archers.
Featuring a machined aluminum riser, compression molded flat limbs and a tri-draw twin cam with inner cam adjustment, the Odyssey is a performance-oriented, value- packed, short-draw hunting bow. Light at just 2.9 pounds and compact at 31.75" axle-to-axle, it is a perfect fit for first time bowhunting and/or those simply needing a shorter, more user-friendly bow.
Adjustability and proper fit is the name of the game for many short-draw archers, who are typically young people willing to give archery a try. With draw lengths from 21 to 26 inches and peak draw weights of either 40 or 50 pounds to choose from, this bow can grow in stature and in power with young men and women.
A wonderful introduction to archery is the Pioneer. It looks like dad's Fred Bear® hunter, but is engineered with learning the fundamentals first and foremost.
Colored in a black powder coat, the Pioneer is as eye-catching as it is practical as an entry level youth bow. Compression molded flat limbs, machined aluminum riser, tri-draw twin cam with inner cam adjustment, TechTwist™ Green & Brown string and an elasto-polymer vibration dampening grip are just some of the adult-sized features in this pint-sized bow.
At just 2.9 pounds and 31.75" axle-to-axle, the Pioneer's draw lengths are adjustable from 17 to 22 inches and draw weights are comfortably set at 15 to 29 pounds with a 75% let-off.
