My youngest son, Clint, got this large buck (see below) early Saturday morning, December 1, 2001.  He saw him last Saturday morning, but didn't take a walking, 20yd, small window shot.  Yes, I'm very proud and happy for him!

Stats:  11 points, 135#, 14 yard perfect shot, he heard it fall 50 yards away!  He shot it with his Bear Grizzly 45# recurve.

His first buck and first bow kill.  Well deserved, because:

1. He's patient.
2. He's eager to learn, upfront and from his mistakes.
3. He put in his time, 4 years, and that equals:  92 hunts = at least 303 hours = 12.65 days on stand.
4. A few misses.
5. He's passed on over 100 deer (ethics - ie, poor shot conditions such as angle, nervous deer, his confidence, etc.)
6. He kept his composure and made the shot happen (toughest part for 99% of the bowhunters).

PS- This is one of the two big 11 points we've seen this season.  We've seen three other 10 points also!
