Smith At that instant I realized I was looking at a huge buck making his way down the West side of the ravine not 15 yards from me at eye level! That was when time stood still ... I had heard of buck fever but never gave it much thought until that very instant. WRITERS CONTEST - GRAND WINNER Making Pa Proud, by Anthony Navarroli, Jr Gragrandpa made a detour from our usual route home after Sunday services and stopped at the outskirts of town. We got out of the car and I saw four hay bales stacked in rows of two and some paper plates that were being held down by a rusty Buick rim and a few long gutter nails.
