A Wild Hog Bowhunt In Progress - 2003

Bryant Gets A Double Header
Twenty minutes after Bryant Askew sat down in his tripod seat by the middle pond 4 wild boars appeared on a nearby cross trail. They were all the same size so he picked the one with the best broadside shot angle. His arrow went through the ribs and the hog ran back down the trail and fell down in 50 yards. Two hours later he saw another group of hogs  coming. He waited for the largest and when it was broadside Bryant put his arrow where it counts. The hog retreated into the brush.

When we all met at camp we decided to eat first, at the Red Barn, and then recover the hogs. The first hog was a slam dunk find. We blood trailed the second by flashlight. Both of them were pretty obliging as they went down close to where the truck was parked. We took pics and then returned to town and dropped hogs off at the local sausage maker.

Here are the Askew's: John, Bryant and Emily.
