April 3 - The "Stealthy" Boar Messes Up First, I put tension on my bowstring, good, no unwanted creak or noise. Then I drew slowly, inching my bowstring back. Rats, the boar stepped into the clear and I was only at half draw. I resisted the temptation to yank the string back, I couldn't risk spooking this hog. Full draw came when he was 5 yards away. I put my Timberline sight's bright green fiber optic pin where it needed to be and sent my arrow there. The boar, very loudly, exited down the trail where I first saw it. The noise quit and minutes later I heard a low grunt. I found the boar laying in the trail, 60 yards away. Back To The Wild Boar Bowhunt - In Progress. |
