Last Day - Timm's Day

Zano was exhausted and slept in. After Billy Don took Timm to his stand he and I checked some stands for the upcoming 2007 Bowhunting.net Bowhunt. We saw several bunches of wild hogs as we drove around. I tried for pictures of a couple of the bucks we saw but couldn't my camera focused because they were behind too much brush. The bucks here were ahead of the bucks where I live, they already had long tines and their main beams were further along.

Billy Don's cell phone rang. Timm was calling, he had shot a wild hog. We loaded up Billy Don's Jack Russell tracking dog "Tater" and drove to Timm's stand. While Timm was waiting a buzzard landed in his tree and he took its picture. (That's some effective camouflage Timm has.)

And while he was waiting Timm had shot another hog. This is the stand. (I'm sure Wayne Dobson and George Tague recognizes which stand this is.)

When Billy Don puts on Tater's harness he knows that he is going to have some big fun. And Billy Don buckled on the harness now. Tater promptly picked up a trail and went 65 yards to the first hog.

Here is Timm with his long nosed wild hog. Timm shot it with a Bear the Truth Bow and a carbon arrow with high tech vanes and a traditional 2-blade broadhead. He was totally camouflaged in the treestand with Sticks N Limbs camouflage.

Tater found the second hog. It was laying in a ditch with its back exposed -- and he was still alive. Timm maneuvered until he found a position that he could get an arrow through the cedar limbs. He drew and aimed. 

A good shot and the hog rolled around in the ditch and expired.

Timm had his third wild hog of the hunt. Here he is dragging one of his hogs back to the truck.

That was out hunt for this trip. We all loaded our gear and returned home.
