Shoot? Pass? or Wait?
"To shoot or not to shoot, that is the question?" It is the single most important decision you make when you bowhunt. Try to shoot at the wrong time and you'll spook the game instead of harvesting it. Waiting for a better shot can easily backfire and leave you thinking you should have taken that shot when you had the chance. And there are times when the only thing to do is pass and let the animal go it's own way.

While mule deer hunting in Northern Colorado you glass a group of 3 mulie does and want to put a stalk on them. A nearby gully runs downhill and straight to where the mulies are walking (in your direction) so you slip into the gully and quietly move toward them. You stop 50 yards from them and hide behind some sage brush. Soon the mulies are 15 yards from you. Do you Shoot? Pass? or Wait? And which one(s) can you shoot at?  (800x600) (640x480)

It's a clear, cold morning and you feel a chill coming on in your toes and fingers. They get colder as time slowly passes.  Nothing is going on and you're toes are frozen, you decide to get down. But first you look around to be sure no deer are in sight. Woops! A buck, a big one too ... standing 15 yards to your right, looking back at something in the brush. Do you Shoot? Pass? or Wait?
