Shoot? Pass? or Wait? #12
While mule deer hunting in Northern Colorado you glass a group of 3 mulie does and want to put a stalk on them. A nearby gully runs downhill and straight to where the mulies are walking (in your direction) so you slip into the gully and quietly move toward them. You stop 50 yards from them and hide behind some sage brush. Soon the mulies are 15 yards from you. Do you Shoot? Pass? or Wait? And which one(s) can you shoot at?

• Do you Shoot? That fence between you and the deer is a problem. The arch of your arrow just might hit a strand of wire and deflect your arrow. Never shoot through a fence. (If the fence was not in the way the doe to the left is the best shot angle. The one in the middle is a no no. And while the one on the right is quartering away the angle is a little too much.)
• Pass? Yes.

Wait? The deer could cross the fence to your side. Hang with them and see.
