July 16, 2003:  Something is always going on in the woods. True, things may happen at a slower pace than some would like, but once you get over the hurdle of today's "gotta have it all right now" perspective you learn to appreciate what is going on around you. And you get to be a part of, or at least a witness to, wonderful things that scads of folks never experience. Today a lone quail came up to the edge of the woods and walked out into the area where wild hogs have worked the originally rock solid ground into loose sand and dust.
