Rocky Mountain
Gator Now Has RTT Razor Tip Technology
BARRIE Archery, maker of the time tested Rocky Mountain Broadhead line
designed a very successful broadhead named the GATOR.
It
has remained one of the company's most successful broadheads due to its
unique Free-Floating Blade System. With the company philosophy of continuous
improvement, they have taken the GATOR one step farther by adding the RTT
Razor Tip Technology making it one very lethal broadhead.
The GATOR XP is a compact, super tough two-blade expandable broadhead
that starts with a traditional, razor sharp blade insert tip that slices
on impact. The twin expandable blades are designed to be shot with the
cutting edges out and then swivel into their open cutting position where,
when combined with the razor insert cutting tip work to maximize penetration.
Unlike
other broadheads though the GATOR XP blades are Free-Floating so they move
when encountering bone. The blades remain open and cutting at all times
making for greater penetration and a more deadly cut.
Bruce Barrie stated, "The original GATOR was a big hit and now we've
simply made it more lethal by adding the RTT cut-on-impact tip. It
also features our no O-Ring design for less hassle. This is one lethal,
compact head that will fly like a field point, cut on impact and achieve
maximum penetration to take on the toughest game animals from turkey to
whitetail."
The
new GATOR XP sports: a one-piece ferrule, a traditional cut-on-impact tip
and two razor sharp .030" stainless steel blades. It also has a 1 1/16"
closed cutting diameter and large 2" expanded cutting diameter. The
GATOR XP is available in 100 grains.
