Nikon, one of the world's most innovative optics manufacturers, has
introduced an ultra compact laser rangefinder designed to meet the needs
of a wide variety of hunters who demand maximum concealment.
The new Team REALTREE® Laser400 rangefinder features REALTREE's
newest camo pattern, REALTREE Hardwoods® Green HD (High Definition),
which provides maximum concealment in a variety of terrain and hunting
situations.
The new Nikon Team REALTREE® Laser400 is a highly compact, water
resistant laser rangefinder that uses a high speed digital processor to
accurately measure distance from 10.5 yards to 437 yards, with incredible
1/2 yard precision. This previously unobtainable level of precision
is made possible by Nikon's advanced microelectronics and optics, and will
allow all hunters, but bowhunters in particular, to gauge distance more
precisely for accurate shot placement.
The Nikon Team REALTREE® Laser400 features precisely ground and
polished lens glass that is multicoated with anti-reflective compounds
to improve light transmission, clarity, and color rendition. It utilizes
an eight power monocular with a 20 millimeter objective lens to provide
an exit pupil of 2.5mm. The eyepiece is adjustable, with a range
of +/- 2 diopters, and the unit has 10mm of eye relief. In addition,
the Team REALTREE® Laser400 has a real angle of view of 6.3 degrees,
translating to a wide, 50 degree apparent angle of view and a field of
view of 330 feet at 1,000 yards.
The new rangefinder automatically adjusts for a variety of ranging situations.
It will automatically compensate for rainy conditions and allows continuous
tracking of multiple or moving targets. Ranges are displayed in 1/2-yard
increments out to 99.5 yards and in one yard increments from 100 to 437
yards. Digital readout is displayed in a high contrast blue/black
LCD format.
Nikon's Team REALTREE® Laser400 is water resistant, measures ranges
in yards or meters, and features an automatic power shutoff after the reading
has been displayed for eight seconds. The Laser400 measures 3.7"
x 2.8" x 1.4" and weighs 7.0 ounces without battery. It is powered
by one commonly available CR-2 camera battery that provides extremely long
life, and an internal display shows the user how much battery power is
remaining.
The Nikon Team REALTREE® Laser400 is available at finer sporting
goods stores and gun dealers nationwide for about $319.99. The rangefinder
is backed by Nikon?s exclusive one year warranty.
